It all started in 2004 when the artist Jan-Erik Sjöblom donated his large collection of stuffed birds to the municipality's citizens. An interested group of people from the area saw the potential in the collection and began a new effort to arrange housing for these birds in Granö.
Grandiose plans
One thing led to another, and in mid-2008, the group had developed a plan to transform Granö into an international destination. The accommodation consists of various types of hotel rooms, but the luxurious "bird's nests" where you experience what it's like to live as a bird, high up among the trees, are of course the most exciting option! When we visit Granö Beckasin , it quickly becomes clear to us that this nature experience is not just about hiking long distances with a backpack on your back; here, all the comforts are available even though we are actually UP in one (or rather three) large pine trees. Awesome is the best word to describe the experience!
Locally produced food
In the restaurant as well as in the forest (here, there are countless outdoor activities to choose from), we serve local specialties. All food is prepared from scratch using locally produced ingredients. Everything feels well thought out and very close to nature. It's a nice feeling to "tourist" sustainably.
Conference
Conference groups are also welcome to Granö Beckasin. A more inspiring environment is hard to imagine. The view, the premises, and the environment provide nothing but good, sustainable ideas. For groups that really want to build the team stronger, the raft trip activities are a tip. What distinguishes this raft trip from similar events is that you start by building your own raft together.
