Mother’s Day tips

May 28th is Mother's Day and then we celebrate and honor our mothers, and we really should do that, not just with flowers and cake, even if that's nice too.

I'm thinking about appreciating everything else, everything we've learned, all the important things we've received. Often it is precisely from mom that you learn (can of course be dad too but we celebrate him on Father's Day) to do laundry, cook, do your homework, pack a bag, brush your teeth - yes, there are simply many small and obvious things that are easy to take for granted.

I have really learned so incredibly much from my mother, everything from taking care of nature and what it gives, "life hacks" like how to grow tomatoes on a windowsill in plant zone 7, to doing laundry and being a little more climate-smart and chemically savvy.

My mother is namely very good at chemistry and we all learned some everyday chemistry early on. By distinguishing between acidic and alkaline, grease and oxidations, you can also clean without adding unnecessary chemicals.

You only need to keep track of a few simple things like that:

you dissolve limescale with vinegar, soap dissolves greasy dirt and stains... Good knowledge that makes natural cleaning both obvious and easy.

Even if you shouldn't ask your mother to clean on Mother's Day... That would be rude, I want to advocate letting mom avoid unnecessary chemicals, and switching to natural cleaning is also a thoughtful gesture.

That's why we now have a Mother's Day offer. Buy a Complete Kitchen Cleaning Kit and get 2 extra kitchen refills for free. No code is needed, the refills are automatically added at checkout.
