Wilhelmina Winter Weekend

Soon it's time for the annual winter festival Wilhelmina Winter Weekend, WWW.

For many years, the festival has been held in February, and it has become a fine tradition. There are artists, competitions, a market, and of course, ice pole sitting.

-Yes, it's true, we compete to see who can sit the longest on a several-meter-high pole of ice, and there is a prize money
In recent years, a church of ice has also been built where weddings and baptisms have been performed; it is very beautiful! The church is built by the Lions Club in Vilhelmina, but the ice is taken up in our village Siksjönäs.
This weekend it was time again. The images below are from the "spectacle" this weekend when the ice was taken up from Siksjön. So now it's on.... Wilhelmina Winter Weekend, WWW 2017 will be great. Please follow us on Facebook, where we will report on the WWW continuously.
