Can you wash decking with soap? Yes, you certainly can! In fact, all wood, and indeed all natural materials, benefit from being cleaned with fatty soap. A soap that is not superfatted can instead dry out the materials and is therefore better suited for cleaning things that do not need to be re-greased.
