Take care of your brushes, brush care for brushes in natural materials

Properly cared for, a good brush in wood and bristle lasts forever.

Here's how to do brush care :

Be careful that the brushes always dry after use. Never leave them in, for example, a wet bathtub.

Wash them, especially the brush/bristles with a little Västerbottenssåpa and warm water. This removes any skin debris and soap residue from the brush. Do not use strong agents for this, it can damage the bristle, which is a natural material.

Also clean the brushes of, for example, hairs. In the webshop, there are special small brushes / tools to take care of and clean brushes. Click here!

Oil wooden handles, knobs and brush heads, not the brush itself, the bristle, at regular intervals and always if your brush looks dry and very light in the wood. This will prevent the wood from cracking. Use a vegetable oil, we have used olive oil, but corn, rapeseed or linseed oil works just as well.

There! Now the brushes last forever
