Balcony and patio

This is the weekend when many of us bring out the outdoor furniture, tidy up the balcony and patio, and maybe even bring out the grill?!

Here are our best cleaning tips for this weekend!

Wooden decking, balconies, and patio floors are most easily cleaned with a scrubbing brush and solid VästerbottensSåpa. Dissolve the solid soap in 10 liters of warm/lukewarm water and scrub. If the decking is heavily soiled and discolored, use a scrubbing brush, water, and solid soap directly on the scrubbing brush. To remove, for example, rings from flowerpots, you may need to let the soap sit for a few minutes and then repeat the treatment. Keep in mind that such stains are not on top but have penetrated the wood and therefore also need to be drawn out.

Here you will find our soap for decking, garden, and outdoor use

Grill grates: Grease the grate and the inside of the grill with solid VästerbottensSåpa. Wait a while and clean with a root brush. Rinse with water and dry. It is a good idea to have a special root brush for the grill as soot easily gets stuck in the brush. A tip is to use the small root brush that is mainly intended for root vegetables.

Outdoor furniture: Soap, water, and a root brush or, for lighter cleaning, soap and a cloth. Wooden furniture gets a nice finish from soap. (be sparing with soap on oak furniture)

Trampoline & other outdoor toys: Clean as garden furniture / outdoor furniture.

Brushes: Paintbrushes quickly become soft in a container with soap and water.

Flowerpots: Flowerpots should be cleaned between each season as infection, fungi, algae, etc. may remain from last year's plant. Use solid VästerbottensSåpa, scrubbing brush, and warm water. Then rinse with the garden hose.

Garbage cans of plastic: The garbage can quickly becomes dirty and smelly. Empty the can, fill a bucket with warm water and dissolve plenty of soap in the water. Pour the soap solution into the garbage can and shake it well, preferably let the soap solution stand for a while before you rinse out the can with the garden hose. Turn upside down and let dry, and all dirt and odor are gone. You take the outside at the same time with a sponge or root brush.

After grilling, grease the grate and the inside of the grill with concentrated VästerbottensSåpa, preferably the solid original variant. Wait about an hour or, if you have the opportunity, until the next day, brush with a coarse brush and rinse with water.
