In this blog post, we discuss why it's okay not to always prioritize a perfectly clean home. There are periods in life when cleaning cannot be the highest priority, and that's perfectly natural! Comparing your home to the perfect pictures on Instagram can create unnecessary cleaning anxiety, but remember that these pictures often only show a small corner of reality. Everyone has it messy sometimes, and you're not the only one who has a less than perfect home.
There are periods in life when a perfectly clean home is not priority No. 1, accept it!
There will be periods in life when the children are not small, when you have time to iron everything and clean in all corners, I promise!
It's easy to get cleaning anxiety when you constantly see well-cleaned homes on Instagram that mostly resemble boutique hotels or furniture catalogs.
But I promise you that that's not the whole truth.
Often it's just a small corner of the home that looks like that. If you had turned the camera, there might well be unfolded laundry and a sea of toys there. Remember that what you see on Instagram is not the whole truth. Everyone has it a little messy sometimes, it's not just at your home that it can be a little messy.
But of course it is so that many of us feel better, thrive better with a little order and a certain amount of cleaning.
There are some simple tips that I would like to share. Some tips that make it easier to keep your home clean a little longer and get a little more order.
1. Make sure you have working flows for paper collection, plastic and glass. If it is easy and clear where everything should be placed, there will be less clutter at home and also easier to clean.
2. Do the same with the laundry. If there are several people in the family, the laundry is really a "thing" that needs to be solved. Make sure everyone knows where dirty and clean, white and colored laundry should be placed and everything will be so much easier.
3. Always take out the rubbish. There is nothing that stops and disturbs at home as much as an overflowing garbage bag. Take out the rubbish and you avoid bad smells and things lying around in the kitchen.
4. Last but not least, this is the hardest but also the best routine. Get into the habit of always emptying the dishwasher and keeping the sink clean and the rest will take care of itself.
Ending the day with a clean sink, empty garbage bag and emptied dishwasher makes the next day so much easier and the morning chores flow!
Dusting and window cleaning can wait.
