In this text, we discuss important do's and don'ts when it comes to cleaning. We emphasize the importance of using different cloths and cleaning tools for the bathroom and the kitchen or other rooms to avoid cross-contamination and the spread of microbes. Color-coded cloths and cleaning sprays – pink for the toilet, blue for the kitchen and yellow for other surfaces – help keep microbes at bay. We also discuss why it is important not to cover up bad odors with strong perfumes but instead to clean away the dirt properly, especially in the kitchen. Finally, we give tips on how to clean light switches and other electrical products safely and why you should be careful with screen cleaning!
1. Do not use the same cloths and cleaning tools for the bathroom and for the kitchen / other rooms.
Cross-contamination and thus the spread of microbes occurs by mistake but can be avoided with simple means. Microbes (usually: bacteria, viruses, fungi (mold and yeast) and some parasites can be spread through tools, kitchen utensils, unwashed hands or from one food to another. This can make us sick and we don't want to run into that.
Cross-contamination can happen quickly and therefore good routines are important.
Did you know, for example, that when you buy a package of cloths, they are often yellow, blue and pink - these are color codes to help us avoid cross-contamination?
Pink means - only use for the toilet. Blue means - kitchen and yellow means - other.
Our starter kit with soap sprays has different colors for the same reason - the idea is that you should get a package with cleaning sprays for each room so that you do not risk moving microbes between the rooms.
One bottle for the bathroom, one for the kitchen and one for everything else.

2. Do not cover up with perfumes.
A strong perfume scent is not the same as clean. Cleaning clean means cleaning away everything that can smell bad, all dirt.
If you instead only cover up the bad odor with strong perfumes, it is not clean and it can involve risks. Another risk with using strong perfumes in the kitchen is that you simply miss bad odors and dirt due to the perfume so really clean is always preferable and especially in the kitchen where we handle food, there it is extra important.
All our soaps with gray labels, kitchen soaps are completely without added fragrance precisely because of what we mentioned above. Check out our complete kitchen kit here: Kitchen Cleaning Kit

3. Do not spray directly on switches or other electrical products.
Light switches need to be cleaned because many people touch them often, but never spray directly on the light switch.
Spray a little soap spray on a clean microfiber cloth and wipe the switch with the cloth. Other devices connected to electricity should be turned off and allowed to cool if they are hot and preferably the power cord should be unplugged before carefully cleaning them with a microfiber cloth.
Never spray directly on electrically connected devices. Screens should only be cleaned with a soft microfiber cloth, a very little moisture and possibly a special screen cleaner.
In the past, the TV screen was made of glass and more durable than today's screens, so you cannot treat them in the same way as you did with old TV sets.
