How do you clean the oven door?
-Well, the biggest problem with the oven door itself is usually remembering how to take it apart and put it back together again.
I will be using Västerbottenssåpa's Oven Cleaning Kit today
1. It says in the instruction manual, of course, but not everyone has it left. So my best tip here is to photograph what it looks like and how it's put together BEFORE you take it apart. There are far too many different ovens to make a reasonable guide to how to do it in blog form. Photograph clips and the sides of the door itself, and that usually solves the problem later.
Photograph the oven door's sides, edges, clips and strips so you can see in which direction and in which place everything should sit when it's time to reassemble the door.
The glass in the oven door usually gets brown and stained. If it has been there for a while, it can be really difficult to remove, but it is possible. It just takes a little longer if you let it sit for too long.
What sticks to the glass comes of course from the food we have had in the oven and it is often fat and burnt, so a fatty alkaline soap is a simple solution.
2. Soap the glass and make sure that the soap and water (you have to work up a lather) cover the glass and let it sit overnight. Preferably two nights if it is a lot.
3. Then scrub with an ecofiber cloth, avoid as far as possible using anything sharp that can scratch. Most of it comes off after that treatment.
4. If there is still something stuck, a glass hob scraper is good to have. When you have dissolved the dirt overnight with soap, it is possible to lightly guide the glass hob scraper over the glass and remove the last stains.
* Bonus tip, baking soda: If you prefer to scrub or if you lack a scraper, then take baking soda, sprinkle it over the entire door. Add water and rub. Let it sit for 1-2 hours and rub again with an ecofiber cloth. Baking soda is alkaline with a slightly abrasive effect. Think of the baking soda as a natural scouring cream.
Dissolve dirt with soap, a little water and time, try first with ecofiber and then with a glass hob scraper. The principle is therefore to first use soap, water and time and then a tool, sponge, ecofiber or scraper.
5. Oven doors have several panes of glass, so expect to repeat this on more glass and on both sides.
6. Feel free to polish the glass with a microfiber cloth and window cleaner, especially the insides (between the panes of glass) before you reassemble the door.
Polish the glass with a little window cleaner before you put them back so they become really shiny and nice.
A final tip is to prevent the problems by cleaning more often and placing dishes on a baking sheet lined with baking paper instead of directly on the rack.
And then it's just to start again and cook tasty casseroles.

Questions and Answers
Why is it a good idea to photograph the oven door's parts before disassembling it?
By photographing the door's parts before disassembly, you can use the photos as reference points when it's time to reassemble the door, which reduces the risk of confusion and incorrect assembly.
What type of cleaning product is recommended to remove stains from the oven door's glass?
A fatty alkaline soap is recommended to effectively dissolve grease and burnt-on residues on the oven door's glass. Västerbottenssåpa's Oven Cleaning Kit contains everything you need to clean the oven.
Why is it important to use an ecofiber cloth instead of a sharp tool to clean the glass in the oven door?
An ecofiber cloth is gentle on the glass and reduces the risk of scratches, which can occur if you use a sharp tool to scrub away the dirt.
