How do you prevent surfaces from being streaky?

This is a difficult question because streakiness can depend on many things and there are so many materials that can become streaky, but we will try to sort out certain surfaces.

If we start with windows that can easily become streaky, it is because there are particles left on the surface or that something is added during cleaning that forms clusters (streaks). To solve this problem, a surface with a lot of particles on it, such as a window near a road, needs to be cleaned first with water and a scraper to remove the large amount of particles (dust/sand), then you can clean the window shiny with a window cleaner. It is important to have a product with a dissolving part and a part that removes cluster formation and precipitation of, for example, salts.

Other surfaces of glass, such as glass tables, oven glass, microwave ovens, stove tops. Here, it is often grease that causes the problem. So the first thing we need to do here is to solve the grease problem. This is done with warm water on a cloth and soap spray. Wipe thoroughly and rinse the cloth between wipes. Then remove the streakiness with window cleaner and window cloth or a paper that does not lint.

Stainless steel surfaces that become streaky. A common tip is to wipe the surface with a little olive oil on a dry cloth after cleaning, this usually solves the streakiness but gives a greasy surface that some do not want. If you do not want to use the oil trick, we suggest the same method as with stove tops and other glass as above. However, we know that there are (especially some older stainless steel surfaces) that still become streaky, then it is a very difficult surface but what you can do is take a dry microfiber cloth and on it you have a little sour filmjölk (plain, as sour as possible) polish the surface with it and hopefully it will be better.

Cabinet doors, all cabinet doors except those painted with linseed oil paint can be cleaned with soap spray. Spray on a soft microfiber cloth, not directly on the door and wipe clean. Wipe the entire door from top to bottom. Change cloth as needed.
