Cleaning the microwave is necessary but not the most fun job there is. In many homes, the microwave is used frequently, and it gets dirty quickly and therefore needs to be put on the list of things that need to be cleaned more often.
What kind of dirt is in the microwave?
– Well, most often it's food that has splattered around in the microwave during heating. Food is often greasy, and the grease is the hardest thing to remove. According to the principle of like dissolves like, a fatty soap is very effective to use for cleaning the microwave.
We recommend soap spray, it is easy and quick to use but tough on greasy dirt.
Often, lemon is recommended, and it's nice, it smells good, but sour lemon doesn't do much good on greasy dirt. We think you should eat the lemon; it is full of vitamins, and someone has put time and energy into growing it. Make a good juice out of it instead.
Vinegar is also recommended, and it's good, but it is also acidic and is best when you need to clean the glass on the microwave. So, fatty soap against greasy dirt!
