INCI name

This is how you read the ingredient list:

Genuine soap is made from oils and potassiumhydroxide instead of sodiumhydroxide, in which case potassium hydroxide, also called caustic potash, creates soft soap crystals. Consequently, soap has an ingredient list with INCI names beginning with: Potassium. The names indicate that the soap contains fatty acid salts (soap) that have been saponified with potassium hydroxide and the respective oil.

So this is not a matter of a “foreign chemical” being added, but simply the specific name of the particular soap that has been formed and the oil or fat from which it was made. In everyday speech, we say soap; in “chemical language,” soap made from rapeseed oil is called: Potassium canolate. And Aqua, which is just ordinary water.
