In everyday life, we spend a lot of time doing small cleaning tasks such as wiping the kitchen table and cleaning the stove. It is important to be aware of the chemicals we use in our daily cleaning, and it turns out that simple products like soap are often enough to keep the home clean. Sometimes we take the time to do a major cleaning, but thankfully it's not needed every day! The everyday cleaning, the one we do a little bit of every day, is probably what most of us spend the most time on if you were to really clock your cleaning time at home. We wipe the kitchen waste, set the drain machine and wipe the sink, we clean the stove after we fried Wednesday's falu sausage and cooked over the pot with macaroni.
We think it is very important to think about the chemicals we interact with on a daily basis. Städkem is one of them. For these purposes as we mentioned earlier, no strong products are actually needed, soap works just as well.
Let's talk about this thing with perfumes!
Did you know that a perfume can contain up to 40 different chemicals, but that it still only says perfume in the list of ingredients?
The best way to make your home smell clean is to actually clean it, not to "cover up" the bad smell with lots of perfumes. Honestly, do you want perfume on your cutting board where you cut your salad, or on your dining table where you put your sandwich?
5 tips: Use soap spray as an all-purpose cleaner like this
- Clean the kitchen counter - Spray on, wipe off with a slightly damp cloth (preferably compostable)
- Cooktop - Spray on, wipe off with a lightly dampened cloth. For burnt-on food residues, use a scraper first.
- Living room table – Spray on, wipe with damp cloth. Shiny table surfaces / glass tables - dry with paper towels.
- Bathroom – spray on and wipe off.
Always use a special cloth for the bathroom, i.e. not the same cloth in the kitchen as in the bathroom.
- Frames, mouldings, doors – Spray and wipe with a slightly damp cloth. Remember to do this more often in times of colds and stomach ailments. Note – wash / boil your cloth periodically to prevent the spread of infection.
