Spring cleaning at home can feel like an overwhelming project when the sun is out and all of winter's dirt and dust are visible.
But don't despair, here are some helpful tips to get you through it all.

Don't take on too much and be realistic. You won't get it all done in one day and all at once. Divide up the spring cleaning and involve any family members in the process.

Start with seasonal items - put away clothes and shoes that won't be used for the next 6 months. And let this take the time it takes because it can be a lot of stuff. It's also a good idea to wash dirty outerwear; clean clothes don't attract pests in the same way as dirty ones. Plus, it's much nicer to take out clean clothes and shoes in the fall than dirty ones.

If your "outdoor clothes" look like this, you should spend some time cleaning them before putting them away for summer storage. Follow us on social media to see how it went, if this could be cleaned again?!

One suggestion is to make this a day project: Put away skis, ski boots, snowmobiles, snowmobile overalls, ski clothes, gloves, ski goggles, and so on. Put away clean and complete (repair if needed) and label in the storage room. You think you'll remember that this box or bag contains all the gloves, for example, but in the fall you're standing there and have forgotten where you packed everything. If you help each other, there won't be so much to do for each person.

The next day can be a day for bed linen, pillows, curtains, and towels; wash and replace.

If you have time and if several people help, it is very practical to take care of curtains, potted plants, and windows at the same time. Remove dry leaves and dead plants. Dust and wipe window lamps, take down and wash the curtains (if needed). Clean the windows and hang up new curtains (or your clean old curtains).
Another day's work done and feel the satisfaction it gives (y)

And you know what, now there's not much left. Take care of baseboards, radiators, and lamps. Wipe all surfaces, including cabinet doors in the kitchen. Vacuum and wipe the floors. Shake out the rugs and put them back in, and the spring cleaning can be approved there. Now it's just a matter of going out on the balcony or patio, scrubbing the deck, planning some flowers, and waiting for summer.

Cleaning tools that can be good to have

Window cleaner - for windows and mirrors.
Cloths - clean cloths make the job easier.
Soap spray - for all surfaces (except glass), baseboards, etc.
Soap pump - for floors and heavier cleaning.
