Please note that VästerbottensSåpa is a cleaning product and registered as such. These tips come from independent individuals who have found other uses themselves.
- 1. Felting of wool: Craftspeople who felt wool recommend that VästerbottensSåpan, which is greasier than many other soaps, works excellently for this purpose. Since the soap does not contain residues of sulfur and resin (which can be found in soap based on residues from the paper pulp industry) it is also gentle on allergy sufferers.
- 2. Rubber boots: become like new when cleaned with soap.
- 3. Work clothes: Heavily soiled work clothes such as workshop overalls, soak in warm water and soap – let stand overnight. Then wash in the machine.
- 4. Stain removal: Almost all types of stains on clothes can be removed with soap, even blueberries and grease stains.
- 5. Aphid control: Mix soap and water and spray on aphid-infested plants. The louse is suffocated by the soap (does not die from poisoning) so all leaves with lice must be sprayed.
- 6. Wash your hands: VästerbotensSåpan is greasy and therefore dissolves other grease, so if you get oil or resin on your hands, you can easily clean them with VästerbottensSåpa.
- 7. Animal shampoo: Wash dogs, cats and horses with soap.
- 8. Horse gear: Soap does not dry out the leather, which other cleaning agents can do. All of the horse's things benefit from being cleaned with soap.
- The entire stable can advantageously be cleaned with soap.
- 9. Barn: Clean the barn with soap for environmentally friendly cleaning.
- 10. Car: Rubber mats and other plastic-rubber details become like new when cleaned with a greasy soap.
- 11. Foot care: Sore feet, blisters, ingrown toenails etc. are effectively cured with warm foot baths – Soap + warm water.
- 12. Stiff drawers and hinges that squeak: Apply a layer of soap and they will glide more easily.
