Reuse

Why do we call it reuse?

The usual way of doing things is that cooking oil is collected from restaurants and transported long distances, which is not good "environmental thinking" at all.

We recycle vegetable cooking oil from restaurant kitchens. The fat is purified in a special machine intended for the purpose. The oil is then saponified and turned into soap. We return some finished soap to the restaurant, which can clean its premises in a very environmentally friendly way. We create a cycle. The surplus, - yes, that's what you find in stores.

Our vision is to increase awareness, environmental thinking and create sustainable, circular systems. When we eat at a restaurant, we don't see our part in the mountain of garbage we create, nor do we see the chemicals we process our home and our immediate environment with. We just feel that it smells fresh…. but of what? Adding perfumes to get a fresh scent is not necessarily the same thing as being clean! We protect both the environment in general and your indoor environment while creating a more sustainable system where residual products are reprocessed locally into a new environmentally friendly and natural product.

45 percent of all the world's emissions come from the way humans produce new raw materials to produce things, food and infrastructure. Reusing an already existing raw material, recycling is therefore really climate-smart. Västerbottenssoap is a reusable product, our business idea is circular and when you choose Västerbottenssoap, you contribute to the climate change work.

Why isn't all soap in a glass jar / glass bottle?

Because of its weight, a glass jar is a worse choice for the environment. The cardboard can is recycled as cardboard. If the lid of the cardboard jar does not close completely when you start using it, the surface may dry out and turn white. It has no effect on the function.

Why is the soap "hard"?

VästerbottensSåpa is concentrated just like it used to be in the world. It's because we don't want to transport water, it's not good for the environment - and you have water at home.

If you are going to dissolve the soap in water to, for example, wet mop the floors, it is easier to choose liquid soap.

Liquid soap?

For daily cleaning in e.g. the kitchen or the bathroom or for you who clean professionally. That's why VästerbottensSåpa is also available liquid, in 0.5l bottles for the home and in 2.5 cans for large-scale cleaners, work, garget, school and so on. It is also available as a spray with refills.

The liquid soap is made in the same way as the solid soap. It is also a reusable product that is kind to the environment and you!
