About the Product

The year’s last—and first—minutes move into the kitchen!
This cloth from Västerbottenssåpa does more than simply wipe down the counter; it rings in an entirely new year with warmth, shine, and a hint of northern Swedish humor—yes… the result is truly spot-on

Here in northern Sweden, we have always taken our celebrations seriously. On New Year’s Day, we set out the leftovers from yesterday’s feast, prepare a warming Crème Ninon made with frozen green peas, and top it with a splash of champagne. The feeling of a fresh start, hope, and that special crispness of winter makes everything seem possible!

This cloth is a tribute to just that: the moment when we leave the old behind and step into something new. A little everyday hero that brightens things up, gets the job done, and then moves on to the compost with a clear conscience.

Spot-on, quite simply.

What sets Västerbottenssåpa apart from “ordinary” soaps bought at the grocery store?

Västerbottenssåpa is a circular product made from reused, purified, and saponified rapeseed oil—entirely without new oil raw materials. The soap has properties similar to linseed oil soap and is naturally superfatted. This means it retains a greater surplus of nourishing oils after saponification than ordinary soap from the grocery store, making it especially effective, conditioning, and replenishing for your surfaces.
