Lets talk about perfumes

🎄. Let’s talk about scents, perfumes, and essential oils. Our products contain either no perfume (gray labels) or a small amount of carefully reviewed, carefully selected perfume. None of our products require warning symbols on the back—feel free to compare with your other products. We do not manufacture products that harm you or the environment, and they do not have a strong scent precisely because of this.

When you smell one of our products: Apply the product to a clean cloth, add warm water and pre-mixed spray or soap from the pump bottle, and now take a sniff!

⚗️. If you want a cleaning product to have a very strong scent, look for warning symbols and a low price. Cheap products are often rich in perfumes and chemicals.


Essential oils as perfumes have some drawbacks. One is that they often contain allergens, and the other is that they are, after all, oils. Soap and genuine soap-based products contain naturally biodegradable surfactants. (All dishwashing, laundry, and cleaning products contain some form of surfactant.) What a surfactant does is penetrate fat (greasy dirt) with its hydrophobic tail and leave its hydrophilic head on the outside. This is what happens when, for example, you put dish soap on a greasy plate and wash it off. Without dish soap (surfactant), the plate will not get
