The fifth season

We usually call it the fifth season, the season when it's winter but when you can be outside and actually appreciate it. You can sit down and drink your coffee without your fingers turning blue and the coffee freezing in the mug, that's the fifth season.
Some years this season is long and lovely, and sometimes it never comes, but this year it seems we get to experience it.

This Sunday offered ice fishing for char - (we didn't get a single char) and lunch out in the sun.

It's so wonderful after a long, dark and extremely cold winter up here.

Days to be grateful for!
