Today's text will focus on an important part of household cleaning: window cleaning. Getting windows clean and streak-free can be a challenge, but with the right technique and products, the result can be fantastic! Let's dive deeper into the topic and explore some tips and tricks to achieve sparkling clean, streak-free windows.
What is the best way to clean windows? And how do you avoid streaks on the windows?

It's a good question; getting the windows clean isn't entirely easy, but you can make it easier or harder for yourself.
The inside of windows is rarely as heavily soiled as the outside can be, especially if you live near a dusty road, so the inside is a little easier to take care of than the outside. Part of the point of windows is that you can see through them, so it doesn't help to have only one side clean ;)
But if we start with the slightly more difficult part, the outside, it's true that if it's not particularly dirty, window cleaner and a "bunch" of clean cloths/paper will work. However, if it's very dirty, that won't work. Regardless of which window cleaner you choose, it will become a mess if you just spray it on and try to wipe it off. In that case, you need a bucket with warm/lukewarm water, a little window cleaner or a few drops of dish soap, and a squeegee. You might think a squeegee is just a squeegee, but believe me, I've tested both cheap rubber squeegees and more expensive ones designed solely for window cleaning, and the difference is enormous. So, if you have large and many windows and live near a road, a good squeegee might be worth investing in. Use a cloth or a soft sponge and wash the window, then squeegee it clean. Wipe the squeegee between each stroke and, if necessary, if it's streaky, polish with window cleaner and a soft, clean cloth or paper. Wipe the frame with a separate cloth, not the same one you use on the glass.
The inside can of course be cleaned in the same way, but you can also make it a little easier with just window cleaner and a cloth/paper.
What about streaks? -Yes, that's the difficult part, cleaning without getting streaks. We at Västerbottenssåpa have developed a window cleaner that (if we may say so ourselves) is very effective against streaks. The streaks you can get are clusters of various particles, salts in the water, and leftover particles (dirt). What you need in a window cleaner is both something that dissolves the dirt and something that polishes to a shine. Our window cleaner consists of soap and ethanol (made from grain residues) and water in a perfect balance. Together, these components prevent these cluster formations (streaks) on the window that are so annoying.
Otherwise, it contains nothing else, no color, no perfume, no ammonia. It's the same as usual when we make something - no unnecessary "frills" ;)
Other glass and mirrors can of course also be cleaned with our window cleaner.
